The Story
I am the third generation entrepreneur within the food industry following my nan and my mother. Growing up, I was in awe of my mother's work ethic. Despite the unsociable and long hours of working in the kitchen, she balanced this with nurturing us beautifully.
Baking was a grand affair in our household, especially around the time of Eid. I started baking so early on in my life that I have no recollection of learning, it was as if it was innate.
My foundations were built by watching how my mother worked and her no nonsense attitude to her graft. It is from her kitchen that my passion for creating food grew. Therefore, it was only apt for my brand to be named after her and Ani's Treats was born.

Charity
It is so important that I give back from what I get. Therefore, as a business, I pledge that I will always donate atleast 10% of all sales to charity. Details of which charity I am supporting can be found on my Instagram bio.
Sustainability
Being conscious about the blessings of this world is vital. I have been trying to do my best to reduce my carbon footprint. As a business, I often question if I can do something more sustainably.
So what have I changed might you wonder...
- All bakes that are individually wrapped, are packed in home compostable clear packaging made from 100% renewable materials.
- The tape I use to seal my cardboard mail boxes can be recycled.
- The ink used for stamping my packaging and tags is 100% plant based making it compostable and biodegradable.
- To reduce waste, where possible, I encourage customers to bring their own reusable containers that I can pack their order in.
If there is a more sustainable alternative to anything I do, I am ready to learn and embrace it!
